ICCAN Domain Rule Changes 2nd February 2008 Its been revealed today that ICCAN are considering charging yearly fees as soon as someone registers a domain.
Whats the problem and who does not pay?
According to ICCAN 10 organisations out of the millions that register domains are responsble for 95% of all deleted domain names, which menas 45,450,897 domains out of 47,824,131 discarded domain addresses.
They believe that these domain tasters, those that check ot a domain names potential will stop abusing the 5 day grace period in which purchasers can obtain a full refund.
This period of grace was supposed to allow those of us who can not spell a way around correcting an error, but domain tasters have latched ont to this and are using the loop hole to test domans before returning them |
